ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION
Formed in November 2004, the Objects of the Association are:
1. To perpetuate the close bonds of comradeship and esprit de corps created by the past and present members of the North West Mobile Force (NORFORCE) by providing the means for contact.
2. To preserve the good name of NORFORCE and to guard its interests.
3. To act whenever necessary to preserve the history of the North Australia Observer Unit, the 7th Independent Rifle Company and any other units with a historical link to NORFORCE.
A strong and active membership is essential in order to achieve our Objectives and all those eligible are urged to join without delay as 2006 will be a significant year in the proud history of the unit. Past and present members of NORFORCE are eligible to join the Association, as are others with links to the unit.
As the "olds and bolds" will readily recall, NORFORCE was formed on 1981 under the leadership of Lt Col John George and has formed as special place in the minds of Territorians and those in the northern regions of Western Australian ever since.
This year's 25th Birthday celebrations and the Presentation of Colours to NORFORCE on 26 June provides an ideal opportunity for the Association to strengthen the bonds between past and present members of the unit.
Active Membership of the Association provides an important means of demonstrating your pride in the achievments of NORFORCE; past, present and in the future.
